How do I set up Breeze?

After downloading Breeze, follow the onboarding process to set up your keyboard extension and grant necessary permissions. You'll be guided through:

  • Microphone permissions for voice recording
  • Keyboard extension setup and activation
  • Account creation or sign-in
  • Initial configuration and preferences

How do I use the keyboard extension?

Once set up, switch to the Breeze keyboard in any app by tapping and holding the globe icon on your keyboard, then selecting "Breeze Keyboard". Tap the microphone button to start dictating. Your speech will be converted to text and inserted automatically. You can edit the transcription before inserting it into your app.

Which apps work with Breeze?

Breeze works with any app that accepts text input, including messaging apps, email clients, notes apps, social media platforms, and more. Simply switch to the Breeze keyboard in any text field to start dictating.

Using Breeze

How accurate is the voice recognition?

Breeze uses advanced AI technology to provide highly accurate transcriptions. Accuracy may vary based on background noise, speaking clarity, accent, and language. For best results:

  • Speak clearly and at a moderate pace
  • Use Breeze in a quiet environment when possible
  • Hold your device closer to your mouth if needed
  • Speak naturally - you don't need to pause between words

Can I edit transcriptions?

Yes! You can edit any transcription before inserting it. The keyboard provides editing tools to refine your text, correct mistakes, add punctuation, and format your content exactly as you want it.

What are processing modes?

Processing modes allow you to customize how Breeze formats your dictation based on your use case. Each mode is optimized for different scenarios:

  • Accurate: Focuses on precise transcription with minimal formatting
  • Email: Formats text appropriately for professional emails
  • Casual: Optimized for informal messaging and notes
  • Notes: Structured formatting for note-taking

You can change processing modes in the app settings or within the keyboard interface.

How do I add punctuation?

You can add punctuation by speaking it naturally (e.g., "Hello comma how are you question mark") or by using the editing tools in the keyboard interface. Breeze also automatically adds punctuation based on pauses and context.

Can I use Breeze offline?

Breeze requires an internet connection for voice transcription. However, once transcribed, you can edit and use your text offline. Pro users may have access to additional offline features.

Troubleshooting

The keyboard isn't appearing

If the Breeze keyboard doesn't appear in your keyboard list:

  • Go to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards
  • Tap "Add New Keyboard" and select Breeze Keyboard
  • Tap on Breeze Keyboard and enable "Allow Full Access" (required for dictation)
  • Restart your device if the keyboard still doesn't appear

Microphone isn't working

If the microphone button doesn't respond or you can't record:

  • Check microphone permissions: Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Ensure Breeze is enabled
  • Make sure you've granted "Full Access" to the keyboard in Settings
  • Check if your device' microphone is working in other apps
  • Restart the app or your device
  • Ensure you have an active internet connection

Transcriptions are inaccurate

If transcriptions aren't as accurate as expected:

  • Speak more clearly and reduce background noise
  • Hold your device closer to your mouth
  • Try a different processing mode that better matches your use case
  • Check your internet connection - poor connectivity can affect accuracy
  • Edit transcriptions manually - the keyboard provides easy editing tools

The app crashes or freezes

If Breeze crashes or becomes unresponsive:

  • Force quit the app and restart it
  • Restart your device
  • Check for app updates in the App Store
  • Ensure you have sufficient storage space on your device
  • Contact support if the issue persists

I can't sign in or create an account

If you're having trouble with authentication:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify your email address is correct
  • Check your email for verification messages if required
  • Try signing in with a different method (Apple Sign In, Google, etc.)
  • Contact support if you continue to experience issues

Subscription & Billing

What's included in the free version?

The free version includes basic voice dictation with limited transcriptions per day. You can try all features to see if Breeze works for you before upgrading to Pro.

What are the benefits of Pro?

Pro includes:

  • Unlimited transcriptions
  • Advanced AI formatting and processing modes
  • Cloud sync across all your devices
  • Priority customer support
  • Export options for your transcriptions

How do I manage my subscription?

You can manage your subscription through the App Store:

  • Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
  • Find Breeze in your active subscriptions
  • View subscription details, modify your plan, or cancel
  • You can also manage subscriptions directly in the Breeze app settings

Can I get a refund?

Refund requests are handled through Apple's App Store refund policy. You can request a refund through Apple Support or by contacting us directly. We'll do our best to help resolve any issues before processing a refund.

Privacy & Security

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data both in transit and at rest. Your voice recordings and transcriptions are handled with the utmost care and security. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Can I delete my data?

Absolutely. You can delete individual transcriptions or your entire account and all associated data at any time through the app settings. Deleted data is permanently removed from our servers.

How is my voice data used?

Your voice recordings are processed to provide transcription services. By default, recordings are processed and then deleted. If you opt in to model training, your data may be used (in anonymized form) to improve Breeze's accuracy. You can control these settings in the app preferences.
